Winter 21 Season
Hello all teams and welcome back to Holme Valley Pool League
We are hoping to start the season shortly and have drawn up the team knockout fixtures which will be the first games of the season. Fixtures as below

Update – no start date for the next season due to Covid changed guidance
Please note due to changes in Covid-19 guidelines we will not be starting the pool season at this time.

Urgent update Provisional start date for winter 20 season
Following a committee meeting the committee are pleased to advise the season will provisionally commence early October. A month before normal start dates.
this is provisional and is provided venues can confirm they are covered under COVID guideline.
if you have not sent in your team registration sheets please do so ASAP by email to the treasurer

End of winter 19 season announcement
As a member of the Holme Valley pool league committee and after discussions with Martin,Richard, and Katrina all future games including singles knockout,doubles knockouts and remaining league games are now to be cancelled until further notice, I don’t think the reasons for this need explaining if they do watch the BBC News,league positions will stay as they stand,
And the knockouts held in abeyance till this crisis is at a end, I know some will be disappointed but people’s health and welfare has to come first, and that is the reason for making this decision.
The start of the new season also will not be known until it is safe to do so.
Thanks for your understanding and please keep safe while this virus is amongst us all.

The Pool League Committee wish to thank,on behalf of all the players in the pool league, all the Landladies and Landlords, Stewards and Stewardesses,Club Committees and their teams of Bar Staff for the absolutely vital support that they have given the Committee and the Pool League ever since day one.Without the help of all these people – providing a venue,paying players fees,supplying suppers,encouraging players,hosting Pool Meetings,Presentation Nights, etc …We could not have had a Pool League.That vital support will not be forgotten – and when this is all over – We Will Be Back.
Our sincere best wishes for the future – and grateful thanks to you from all of us.
Urgent update winter 19 is now ended
Morning all!!!!! I’ve been given instruction to post on here to let you all know that as of this morning the pool league this season has finished unfortunately!!!!
Martin will post more information when he can but he’s currently out and can’t access his laptop!!
