The evening was well attended with all four semi-finalists having their team mates along to support them.The event got under way at 8-30pm.
In the first semi,Charles Crossland was beaten 2-0 by Ian Pulford.
In the second semi,Richard Lodge was beaten 2-0 by David Crossland
Both semis were played rather cagily with no 8-Ball clearances.
After a short interlude,play was re-started and David Crossland went on to triumph 2-0 over Ian Pulford in the Final.
The match finished shortly before 11-00pm.
The Committee wishes to extend thanks to all the supporters who came along and also to Hall Bower club for their generous hospitality which included a marvellous Chilli supper.
Match officials and referees were Peter Jennet and Martin J Gabanski.
I thought it was only the semi’s?
If its going to run like this everytime then you can count loads of people out.
Best of 3 in a semi final is wrong but playing best of 3 in the final, what a joke.
Why dont you play best of 1 then you can get it all done on one night if it causes you that much bother running it..
^^ can this terrible “best of 3 format” be open for discussion at the next meeting? or is it an AGM matter?
